AN ACCIDENT
At about 4 pm; things were quite busy at MES. There were many students who came for their class and some came for a practice. They all had their own vehicles, motorbikes and bicycles. Some were entering and some were leaving so the gate of MES was opened wider or as wide as two bikes can travel at the same time. Next to the gate, there was a sign that said ” NO CAR” which means cars and truck mustn’t be turned in the area. Unfortunately, While the staffs were keeping their eyes on the students someone turned their truck through the gate and there was a loud, noisy crash at the gate. Before everyone realized and stopped stopped, THE BIG POLE ON THE RIGHT OF THE GATE WAS ALREADY DAMAGE. Luckily, the driver took responsibilities of the crash and built a new one for MES.
JOURNALIST VOLUNTEER
After handing away flyers for a few weeks, MES has new visitors every week. Last week, MES had Stephan Orth from Germany. He is a great guy, he has been playing the guitar for twenty years. Unfortunately, he volunteered at MES for a few days and he had to leave Luang Prabang. Before he left he introduce himself that he is a journalist and he really likes our place and would love to write an article about it. MES Director was happily gave him an interview and thankfully for his time. Hope MES is well-known in some part of Germany.
The last photos are also volunteers from last week. Ol is from England, Adton and Jasmin Ngu ar from Finland.
WORLD MUSIC TOUR
Last Tuesday 12th of November, 2013. MES was visited by a family, Fred, his wife Peggy and his little son Miles. It was very interesting meeting and talking with them. They are both musician; Fred plays trumpet and Peggy plays an electric instrument which has a body like a guitar but on the Frets are like piano. They have started their travel for a while, and they first visited India and then Indonesia and have 10 more months to go and they are planning to visit many different countries in 5 continents. In each country, they try to find a local musician and make video records for their music world tour project. Luckily, they are interested in recording some of MES students and we made three videos.
