Hello wide world out there! MES is really appreciate your visit to our site and thanks for all comments and please, do comments more to support us.
In the past week, we quite had many visitors at MES though it was quite raining and low season now in Luang Prabang. We had Beccd from England with a couple of friends. They found MES in the evening and spent their time with the kids. The next day, she brought another friend Max, he is also from England. Max was extremely great at guitar, the scales and how to improvise the solo by using the scales. He pent all his last day at MES teaching the students Pentatonic scales and others that are useful. It was a pity that he had to leave so soon. In the same week, we also had Miles and Andy from England teaching another interesting piano lesson. By the end of the week, we had Job Strutt from France visited us.
MES CAFE SIGNBOARD
Not much to say, MES signboard was created in the past week to put by the street, in front of MES and it is very simple. We have not posted about our new freezer yet, have we? As bought a new freezer last July and started to sell some ice-cream. Last month, we could sell some which was a satisfy number, the weather was quite hot. This month, it seemed to rain every day and usually cloudy, and many people seem bothering with a cold and a sore throat, but however we could still some. Many of the students do know that MES sells ice cream but some villagers and visitors that walking past might not yet know. After putting our cafe signboard, we do hope you would come and buy our ice cream and stuffs to support MES. The things we sell are maximum 6000 kip. Ice cream up 3000, ice cream stick 2000 kip. Please come and check on your own!
These are some pictures. ( sorry for not having the menu on the board yet)
BOB FROM SOUTH KOREA
Bob is from South Korea and was travelling in Laos for a few days. Fortunately, find an advertisement about MES and decided to take part in MES. Although he only had a few days at MES, he pent all his long days there. Bob plays guitar very very well and very classical. As he arrived at MES, we had a little talk about what he could do at MES and what would he like to do, then we provided him an extra class with the students that are already able to play some chords to join him. They practiced the songs on their levels and also learnt new songs from him. The students had a lot of fun and learnt something interesting and so Bob, We hope. In last day, MES had nothing to give Bob but THANK YOU CERTIFICATE with MES staffs autographs. It was quite sad to say good bye t0 Bob for the students so MES, but WE WILL MISS YOU BOB.
Here are some pictures of Bob in the classroom at MES.
These are Li Weiping and Zhu Xiaoru a couple from China.
NEW INFORMATION BOARD
One of the things that was done at MES during last week was a news board. We removed the news board from inside the school and put it outside, because there the students hardly noticed it and whenever we would like to inform them some things the teachers had to be a speaker, otherwise they missed it just information on the board. So last week, we have put up a new board for general information and news at the front door as it is easier for students to see and read. We also had a couple from France visited us during last week.

MES would appreciatively introduce Mr. Olay one of our students. Olay takes a lesson in the afternoon and have been at MES for a while and he is a fast learner than the others. Instead of going faster and get his last level done, he decided to help the others and that is very kind of him.
One of the things that was going on at MES last week was MES HISTORY. MES has labeled some pictures of our events, students, volunteers and visitors before as well, but it was not really in order. As MES has been going on and we getting more story to tell and photos to labeled so we made a change to get more space and easier to understand.

Some of these visitors also donated some money for MES.
