A CANADIAN MUSICIAN KEVIN & SOME VISITORS

MES Laos is very thankful and appreciate with volunteering wotk from Kevin.
Kevin is a Canadian musician and educator.  He’s travelling to Luang Prabang with his wife and came across  MES blog.  Kevin has extensive teaching experience, and can teach guitar at any level (beginner to advanced), intermediate bass, beginner keyboards and drums, and practical theory (using scales and chords to compose and improvise). His specialty is getting people to make music together, coaching bands and ensembles and helping them really experience the joy of collective music making.  He has studied, performed, and taught many different kinds of music, from classical to rock, metal, blues, funk, folk, etc., and is always open to chances to expand my horizons and learn from others.
MES is lucky to have him at MES for a couple of days.

SING-A-LONG PARTY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015

Sing-a-long Party on the 31st of December was going very well and everyone was happy.

The party started at 5 pm and people gradually came. Students contributed some songs they like and comfortable to sing. Some preferred to sing and play the acoustic guitar individually while some preferred to sing with a band, and any Lao and English songs were played beautifully on that night.

While the audience  were enjoying listening,  watching the live music and waiting for their turn their turn on stage , they could also served themselves with some food, fresh fruit and different snacks and sweets, as well as soft drinks  that we have prepared .

The Sing-a-long party  had also wished everyone a Happy New Year 2015 when the party was happily over.

SARAH FROM BELGIUM

Sarah was traveling and staying close by MES. She found MES brochures at her guesthouse and follow the map to MES. She loves singing and can play guitar quite well and ukulele. She visited MES for an hour in the afternoon and interested to see the evening classes. At MES she helped both ukulele and guitar students with their lessons. The kids were very excited to practice with her. Thanks  Sarah!
