Thanks Jeannette and LEOT crew for getting a group from MES accompanied to visit a rural village school. That was a wonderful memory.
MES lead three students to visit a school in a small village in the south of Luang Prabang with LEOT English Learning Center students and director. The van picked us up at 8 am on Saturday and took us for about 2 hours to reach the village. There, we met many friendly little students from the village and villagers. After brunch the activity started, there was a pulling rope game and there was a running game on sticks. There’s also tradition weapon shooting that every can give a try.
After that everyone got paintbrushes and rollers ready for the painting. The painting took a few hours to complete. In the evening the village head man and some of the villagers arranged a Baci Ceremony to thank and wish us all the best for the visit. After the ceremony and supper, MES students were ready for a short Acoustic Song Show. We’re really happy that the kids and villagers enjoyed the show, knew the song we played and could hum along. After a few songs from MES students, we had some volunteers jumped up on stage and shared their favourite songs. That was a wonderful evening.
The next morning, we shared some paintings on the wall in kindergarten building, before getting back to town.
